Sketches and Dreams

Ana’s Sketched Face

I dreamt of living in the centre of London, last night. This centre felt dark, grey and inconsistently sharp edged. The darkness of the edges, gave a concise measure to what my subconscious said. The buildings and river were a reflection of that. The river and buildings more so, as they enlarged in the sketched dream. I saw the river, larger than it is, and understood its movement. Though when awake I turned it away, and tried my minds best to understand what had happened. I still see the river, and feel the buildings looking down on it.

A person was looking down and out from a building. That person, me, in indentity. The buildings are the space that inhabits the mind. Reasoning with the river, trying to balance the building, and connecting with the passer by boats. There was no light, just a sketch. A movimental river. Boats felt embraceable and delicate. Boats floated in this river, I still hear their sound. A soothing sound, that continues to float. Comfort is what it is. Allowing facility to flow easier, than the river itself. The river isn’t looking as largely as it once seemed, as the subconcious establishes connection with that comfort, and realises the truth.

Do you remember your last dream, precisely?

Hello Narayanan,
Thanks for stopping by.
What a unique name you have. What does it mean?
Thanks for the comment. It is interesting as I have also been seeing a few people’s sketches recently, that are as curved my drawing.

Hello Jenny,
It is natural to have a pause on dreams, as they very much reflect your subconscious world, integrated into your conscious plane. (If that makes sense, to you) Do you remember at least the last dream you dreamt about?

Hello Harriet,
I’m happy to see you here, and thank you for your support.
You have a wonderful week too.

I rarely sleep so don’t have the vivid dreams I once did. The last dream I remember was standing on top of a tower with my ex husband. I jumped and flew away. I started flying over a barren desert and was soon flying over beautiful valley’s and mountains. The further I got the higher I would fly and the happier I was. That dream allowed me to leave him, the pain and the guilt behind and I never looked back.

I don’t remember my last dream, but your dream made me think of a movie i enjoy watching: “I am legend” . An empty soul in an empty city.

That is a beautiful conscious dream Stacey. It’s good that you gave yourself the strength to act upon that experience, and leave the pain and guilt behind at the same time.

Hello Anelly,
It is lovely to see you here.
That sounds like an interesting dream, the very underlining of th film. I will look it up one day.

I usually remember what my dream was about the moment I woke up but then if I didn’t telling it to someone else, later on that day I could only remember vaguely, haha :D
