Do you think your mind can rule your life?
I ask, as it is a common occurrence upon people. One which happens to me sometimes, and has made me more aware of it’s roots. It is easy to slide into the joy ride of the mind, in todays social realm. There are various paths in distinguishing where the control originates from. For each of my experiences, where mind control is active observation is always present, and so is an acknowledgement of how I am feeling during this control. The feeling is rather the being, and the control I have noticed always clashes with simply being in the moment. It is like the mind is a thousand miles ahead, and the rest of the body and being (soul/spirit-whatever you wish to interpret) is standing still in one moment; the present.
A few experiences of mind control include anything from having a pre-destined or pre-determined thought to getting things done, disregarding anything that comes in close reach; to thinking or dwelling on experiences that have past, and letting the thoughts of the experiences haunt you, and affect you in your current life. These effects do cause habits, to which one can easily be receptive to.
Since understanding more about the mind and how it functions, (from reflection and own experience) I have come to realise that I can easily stop it from happening, as much as i can allow it to happen. This comes in form of disciplined awareness, in which I am able to acknowledge the control even before it enters and allow it to be released. This is easier said than done, as usually sometimes I go through the experience of control to understand more about myself in that state. This is still very much valuable to the progression of consciousness and self awareness. However I am choosing to stop the control from originating in effect, as I have learnt that I can use this energy in much more useful forms, to allow it to pass freely without tension.
Alongside this, having the choice to express myself through various creative and expressive means, which I feel is the reflection of the mirror(gateway) on an interpreted conscious level, which originates from sub-conscious roots. This is a very useful aspect, in my continous learning journey of awareness.
Being within earth, and around nature and animals releases any form of tension and the mind is no longer active, only of course through peripheral vision, where it is the portal of uniting life.

- Home is where the Heart is in Connection
What I have realised is that existence is far greater than the mind, especially when the light shines through.
Do you understand your own mind and thoughts that prevail? and the control that they can have over you?

I normally run out of mind if tension arises. I know what is the problem, but it is very difficult to get my mind to align with me.
My mind is a work in progress. I’m trying to get more control of my mind. I truly believe in the power of the mind but I’m not close to that at all.

I live with disabilities and thus I am jobless for life. In spite of that I have lots of activity in various art programs. The above enables me to speak about the impact of the mind from the point of personal experience.
Yes, the mind has great power indeed, yet it doesn’t rule my life.
Mind just helps me to understand the situation I face and thus to appreciate other’s care with me deeper. My mind makes my gratitude more conscious and proves the decisive superiority of the Spirit.
While human mind enables people to use their personal bodies the best way -displays just incredible opportunities for the personal growth – old age creeps upon one unnoticed, so to speak. Meanwhile the Spirit indwells us all and guards us from falling into the trap of rejoicing at our personal abilities to sustain for ourselves.
We don’t need to place the Spirit and Mind on the opposition benches, yet we need to grasp their role in our life and to act accordingly for not to loose everything that was entrusted to us by God.

Wow, that’s a pretty intense post for me this late at night. My mind never stops. It over analyzes everything. I’ve had to develop the habit of falling asleep to mindless tv,otherwise I’d lie awake rehashing every moment of my day till 4am before sleeping.
I notice that my mind plays an important part in shaping my feelings. Sometimes, I just have to take over with positive thoughts and push out all the negatives..

Hi Ana!
nice to be back here!
My mind is a cyclone of activity-always active even during unholy hours.
Maybe because I have a lot of things to do. I sometimes cannot control it. When I’m excited, I could hardly sleep like what happened last night. My mind continues to travel from time to time….
another great picture you have here!
Really intense post
I quite enjoyed it
I think my mind is a whirlwind of activity that doesn’t quite know how to rest up … There are times when I am in the present but my mind is a few light years ahead (or so it feels) .. I can relate to the whole predetermined thought process as well …
I tend to visualize and process my thoughts in my mind well before I actually act them out .. and at other times .. it’s quite rash …
Hello rainfield,
Thanks for dropping by. Nice to know, you understand what happens. What is difficulty measured by in your instance?
Hello again Maria@Conversations with Moms,
Nice to see you back. Indeed, our minds are work in progress. How are you trying to get more control of your mind?
Hello Tomas,
That is a very clear way of making the connection, with the mind and the soul. They are interlaced, you are right and reflect who we are and how we see the world around us. Happy to know you express yourself through various art programmes, and that you acknowledge the presence of the mind in your experiences.
Hello melissa,
It is rewarding that you experience everything as it is, in it’s form. Are you able to detect other forms of energy, that is not part of your mind?
Hello Isabel Princes,
Lovely to hear your feedback.
Thanks for stopping by.
It is nice to meet you.
Over analysing can easily happen. I know I’ve done it before.
Do you find that tv is a form of relaxation that switches off your mind, and erases all the thought processes for good? Or does the over analytical side eventually come back?
Hello Icy BC,
Nice to hear from you.
Good to know you are able to spot this, and allow positive energy to flow. How do you push out all the negatives?
Hello michael,
Nice to see you back.
Do you feel OK with your mind wandering like a ‘cyclone of activity’ all the time? And have you ever attempted to calm it down? If so, what have you done?
Thanks for the comment.
Hello Dazediva,
Thanks for visiting.
I am happy you enjoy this entry.
How do you feel when your mind is a whirlwind of activity? As I always feel disturbed, and make a choice in releasing the chaos.
Are there ever times when you are just fully present, and your mind is at peace?
How do you feel when you visualize and process your thoughts, before acting them out? Again, I am not drawn to this process when it occurrs, as I notice the logical disturbance to my natural flow of being.
My mind is always active, when i don’t reflect, i am dreaming when i don’t dreaming, i am visualizing. <3 Mind has a great power, each thought has a vibration which change the universe.
