Delicacy in all things

by Ana on November 9, 2009

Today I received the most amazing set of postcards through my letter box in connection with the season of Christmas.
An Unepexcted Gift

"Artists without hands at work"

These postcards are created by individuals who can’t paint with their hands, because they don’t have the opportunity to do so because of life changing experiences. All these paintings have been painted by Artists using either their mouth or their feet and they have formed The Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association. This Association is dedicated to Artists who have been deprived of the use of their hands by illness, injury or birth defect and who have learned to draw and paint with the brush in the mouth or with the toes.  The Association gives all members the opportunity to earn their living as Artists through sales of their paintings, reproduced through cards, calendars and many other items.

It goes to show that there are so many wonderful ways of expressing oneself with and without limitations, and that the being in expression is much more powerful when creating what one feels. For that I share my own experience of being in creation through the art of a moment, and find that there is delicacy in every experience and that it can touch one in many ways unimaginable, like it does so these Artists.

That was a beautiful package to receive. It’s inspiring to see artist’s that don’t let anything stop them from being creative.

Dear Shayla,
Yes, it was very unexpected and beautiful.
I think in the end we are all people behind our limitations and we have to express ourselfs in one way or another, and it is how we engage in those experiences that count.
Thanks for stopping by. :)

Dear Pam Aries,
I am glad that this experience touched you and that you were able to see it past it’s limitations. We are here afterall to express ourselfs, and it is wonderful to see people engaging in such activities.
Sounds like wonderful experiences you engage in whilst pet sitting. I am happy that these moments make you twinkle, and that you enjoy your time spend with the dogs and the places you discover. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

I also love the cards you received. It proves, doesn’t it, that an artist is an artist is an artist, no matter what.
